MANCHESTER CENTER -- Monica M. LaRue, 86, a former Adams, Mass., resident, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at home after a long illness.

Beloved wife of Roger L. LaRue, she also was the mother of Paul L. of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Alan J. of Arlington, Mass., Gary R. of Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. and Todd G. of Westfield, N.J.; mother-in-law of Lyne Denis, Pamela Wolfson, Susan Barrett and Lisa Ohl; grandmother of David, Mathieu, Therese, Madeleine, Natalie, Nicolas and Jacob LaRue. She was the sister of Frances Ordyna of Adams, Mass., Cecelia Ingrassia of Garden City, N.Y. and Helen Ragan of Pittsfield, Mass. She was predeceased by her son, Marc E. LaRue in 1977; her parents, Joseph and Julia Morawiec; and her brothers, Casey and Paul Morawiec.

Born in Adams, she served in the Women’s Auxiliary Army Corps and the Women’s Army Corps from December 1942 until December 1945. She was a member of St. Paul’s Church in Manchester Center where she lived since July 1986.

Memorial services will be held at St. Paul’s Church on Saturday, May 7, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. According to her wishes her body will be donated for research and study at a major medical university. Internment at Dellwood Cemetery in Manchester Village will be private.
