NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. -- Nancy Ann (Patterson) Bainton, 67, of Suncook Valley Road, Center Barnstead, N.H. and formerly of Weona Road, North Attleboro, died on Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at the Concord Hospital in Concord, N.H. following a sudden illness last Thursday. She was the wife of Keith H. Bainton to whom she was married Aug. 28, 1958.

Born on May 27, 1937 in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Garnett and Elizabeth (Thayer) Patterson. She was raised and educated in Sharon, where she was a 1955 graduate of Sharon High School.

She resided in New Hampshire for the past eight years, having moved there to be the owner and manager, along with her husband, of the Sun River Campground, Barnstead. Previously, she had been employed as a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Keith Bainton Concrete Forms in North Attleboro. She had previously resided in North Attleboro for more than 20 years.

Mrs. Bainton enjoyed arts and crafts and was a member of the Foxboro Craft Association. She enjoyed walking and skiing and was an active member of the Attleboro YMCA while living in Massachusetts.

In addition to her husband, she leaves three daughters, Linda Jean Bird of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., Jodi McKearney of Rehoboth and Sandra Buckley of North Attleboro; two sons, Kris Bainton and Jay Bainton both of North Attleboro; a sister, Laura Tessier of Rehoboth; four brothers, John “Jack” Patterson of Stoughton, Robert Patterson of Cumberland, R.I., Kenneth Patterson of Sharon and Walter Patterson of Lowell; and 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, July 31, 2004, at 10 a.m. in the “Commonwealth Chapel” of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Ave., Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, with the Rev. Scott Spencer, pastor of the First Congregational Church, Rehoboth, officiating. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2004, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Following services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of refreshment and fellowship. Children’s room available. Those in need of a ride to visitation may call the funeral home at 508-695-0200 for free transportation.
