Nathan Dolsky Obituary

Nathan Dolsky MANCHESTER Nathan Dolsky, 90, a longtime resident of East Manchester Road in Manchester Center, and a World War II veteran, passed away this Memorial Day, May 26, 2008, in Long Beach, N.Y.Nathan and his wife, Sara, who survives him, were founding members of the Israel Congregation of Manchester. He was an avid downhill and cross country skier and a hiker until suffering a spinal cord stroke in 1985, which left him significantly handicapped. Despite this adversity, he was an active member of the Manchester Center community as well as the Israel congregation. The Dolskys were charter members of Friends of Hildene, as well as early supporters of the Souther Vermont Art Center. Although Nathan and Sara moved to Long Beach two years ago to be closer to their children, Robin and Chuck Bach, and Scott and Karen Dolsky, and their two grandchildren, Matthew and Steven Dolsky, they still loved the Green Mountains of Vermont and considered this their home.
