NORTH BENNINGTON -- Nellie Midurski Garner, 85, a former resident of North Bennington, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation following a long illness.

Born in Arlington March 10, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Perry Snyder of Herkimer, N.Y. and Emma Mae Jordan Snyder of Montreal, Canada. She received her education in the Bennington schools.

She enjoyed reading and crafts. The family wishes to thank the staff at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation for their care and support.

Survivors include three sons, Joseph Midurski and his wife Lynn of Newtown, Conn., Theodore Midurski and his wife Carrie of West Bridgewater, Mass. and Francis Midurski and his wife Mari of Eagle Bridge, N.Y.; three daughters, Barbara Rollins of Old Saybrook, Conn., Irene McClain of Ridgeland, Miss. and Katherine Taddeo and her husband Richardof North Bennington; 10 grandsons; three granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; two brothers-in-law, Marion Midurski and his wife Loretta and Joseph Midurski, and a sister-in-law, Kay Midurski, all of New Bedford, Mass.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Garner was predeceased by her husbands, Edward Midurski and James Garner; two brothers, Ward and Patrick Snyder; and four sisters, Bonnie Rifanburg, Clara Ames, Mary Hayes and Helen Santos. Memorial services celebrating the life of Nell Midurski Garner will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Saturday, Sept. 18, at 3 p. m.

Funeral services will also be offered at the Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle in Jackson, Miss. on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 1:30 p.m. There will be no calling hours.

Burial will take place in the family lot in St. Johns Cemetery in North Bennington.
