Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Nettie A. Parker, 95, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at the Twin Maples Community Care Home in Bennington. She was the wife of the late Raymond G. Parker who died in 2001.

Nettie was born on Jan. 20, 1912 in Walloomsac, N.Y., daughter of the late Ellis and Anna (Kostenblatt) Freemyer. She worked at the former Flomatic Corp. in North Hoosick, New York for 23 years retiring in 1974. Nettie enjoyed cooking and was well known for her bean recipes and desserts. She also liked shopping, playing cards and doing puzzles.

Survivors include her daughter, Joan L’Heureux, and her husband, Ray, of Bennington; brother Clarence Freemyer of Shorman; grandchildren Paul Betit and wife, Sandra, of Bennington, Leo Betit and wife, Mary, of Pownal; great-grandchildren Camdon, Alicia and Courtney of Pownal; and great-great-grandchild Jadyn of Pownal. Nettie is predeceased by two sisters, Natalie Judge and Sylvia Wilson; and a brother George Freemyer.

Funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bennington Project Independence through the funeral home.
