Nicholas Pugliese 1930 - 2009 HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. Nicholas V. Pugliese, 79, of High Street died on Monday at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in North Adams, Mass., on June 19, 1930, he was the son of Nicholas V. and Myrtle Grogan Pugliese. He was the loving husband of the late Carolyn L. Dallas Pugliese who died on February 23, 1993. They were married in Hoosick Falls on July 5, 1952. Mr. Pugliese moved to Hoosick Falls at the age of 5 and attended Hoosick Falls schools. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hoosick Falls and a former member of the New York National Guard. He retired from Isola Laminate Systems many years ago. He was an avid hunter, loved deep-sea fishing and cooking. He was a former boxer in his younger years. Mr. Pugliese was a Boston Red Sox and New York Giant fan. He loved his pets and to take rides through the countryside. His family was his life! He leaves his children, Rosemary K. (Ted) Dunn (Dawley) of Bennington, Kathleen E. (Larry) LeBarron, with whom Nicholas resided, Colleen L. Pugliese of Hoosick Falls, Edwin L. (Bunny) Pugliese of Glens Falls, a sister, Donna M. (the late Robert) Starr of North Hoosick, grandchildren, Bridget, Michael, Brooke, Larry, Brittany, along with great-grandchildren, Justice, Hunter, Matthew and Genevieve. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the ROBSON-REINFURT FUNERAL HOME, 72 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY, where the Rev. Thomas Azar, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hoosick Falls, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery next to his loving wife. Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. for visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at www.st.jude.org or to the Hoosick Area Church Association Food Closet, PO Box 1, Hoosick Falls, NY 12090 in loving memory of Nicholas V. Pugliese.
