EAGLE BRIDGE, N.Y. -- Nicholas Sulpizi, 90, died Friday Jan. 27, 2006, at his residence on River Road in Eagle Bridge. He was the husband of the late Frances Sulpizi who died in 1988.

Nicholas was born Nov. 27, 1915, in New York City, son of the late Frank and Rachel (Donato) Sulpizi. He attended schools in New York and operated a lamp and statuary business in New York City and later in Eagle Bridge. He enjoyed photography, sketching, music, singing and playing the guitar.

Survivors include his son, Nicholas Sulpizi Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Eagle Bridge; two daughters, Bonnie Ciccone and her husband, George, of Troy, and Gail Turner of Wells, Vt. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Sulpizi is predeceased by two sisters, Olga Stude and Helen Dipalo, and a brother, John Sulpizi.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10:15 a.m. from the Mahar Funeral Home, located at 43 Main St., in Hoosick Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association through the funeral home.
