Onnie M. Mackey 1940 - 2009 ARLINGTON Onnie M. Mackey, 68, a lifelong resident of the Arlington area, passed away at his home on March 31, 2009. He was born in Bennington on December 17, 1940, the son of Victor and Amelia Oinonen Mackey. He was a graduate of Arlington High School. Onni was a handyman and worked for several businesses and private homes in the Arlington area. He was a big fan of bluegrass music, especially Bill Monroe. He had many friends in the area who he thoroughly enjoyed visiting with any chance he had. He leaves a brother, Toyvia Mackey of West Pawlet, Vt.; two sisters, Hilda Mainolfi of Rutland, Vt., and Helen Nevue of South Hadley, Mass., and several nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2009, at 1 p.m. at the HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME, Route 7A, Arlington, Vt. Reverend Kathleen Clark, pastor of the East Arlington Federated Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
