1929 - 2014 BENNINGTON Oresta M. "Bunny" Pallman, 85, a resident of Silver Street died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation following a brief illness. She was born in Walden, Vt. on Aug. 15, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Freida (Wiley) Anderson. Bunny received her education in Walden, Vt. and North Haven, Conn. She married William J. Pallman on Feb. 4, 1945 in North Haven, Conn. Mr. Pallman died Oct. 18, 1991 In earlier years, Mrs. Pallman worked at several different companies in the North Haven area. For several years Bunny worked at Howard Johnson's as a Restaurant Manager. After moving her family to Vermont in 1977 Oresta and her family purchased the Terrace Restaurant in Shaftsbury which they operated for several years. For many years Bunny was employed at Rite Aide in Bennington and most recently enjoyed working with students at the Grace Christian School in Bennington. Bunny had a love of music and enjoyed listening to her children sing and perform. She was very instrumental in the success that her children now enjoy in the music industry. She always put her family needs ahead of her own. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Yarnall of Bennington and Trecia Hamilton (Scott) of Stowe, VT; two sons William J. Pallman Jr. (Sallie) of Rotunda West, Fla. and Kenneth M. Pallman (Kara) of Bennington, Vt.; her grandchildren, Sean Yarnall, Antoinette Squiers, Kaelene Pallman, Robert Pallman (Cheryl), Paige Hamilton and Aidan Hamilton and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters. At Bunny's request there will be no calling hours or funeral services. The burial will take place in the family lot at the All Saints Cemetery in North Haven, CT at the convenience of the family. If friends desire contributions in memory of Oresta M. Pallman may be made to the Bennington County Chorale Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Vermont through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
