Palma E. Catelotti

1926 - 2013 BENNINGTON Palma E. Catelotti, 86, a resident of Coleville Road, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Crescent Manor Care Centers in the company of her loving family.

Mrs. Catelotti was born in Bennington on March 28, 1926, one of nine children born to Christopher and Mary (Sawyer) Cassano. She grew up in Bennington and graduated from Mt. Anthony Union High School Adult Degree Program at the age of 75.

Mrs. Catelotti had worked at Thompsons Mill, Tansitor Electronics ( Vishay) and retired from Eveready Battery in 1983.

She was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church and a member the Catholic Daughters. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing cards, music and completing jigsaw puzzles. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was first married to Charles Richmond. Following their divorce, she married Albert Catelotti on June 4, 1983. He died Aug. 9, 2002.

She leaves her daughter Pamela (Everett) Wager of Bennington; sister, Christine (Edward) St. John Sr. of Bennington; grandchildren, Edward (Kendra) St. John Jr., Therese (Tim) Armstrong, Michele (Tim) Goodhue, Jenifer (Layton) Durkee, Kristen Walczak and Michael Walczak; step-grandchildren, Melanie Talbot and Wendy (Glen) Parent; 18 great-grandchildren; her close friend, Anna Hilliard, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Stella Long, Mary Cassano and Mary Carmella Cassano, and by brothers Rocco, Joseph, Sylvio and Angelo Cassano.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church. A prayer service at the HANSON WALBRIDGE & SHEA FUNERAL HOME will precede the mass at 10:45. Burial will follow in the Cassano family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home on Friday from 9:30 until 10:30 when the family will be present.

Mrs. Catelotti's family is grateful for the wonderful care she received at Twin Maples and from Ginger North and the staff at Crescent Manor.
