HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Pansy May Monroe Harrington Barber, 91, formerly of River Street, died on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, at the Hoosick Falls Health Center.

Born in Peru, Vt. on Feb. 24, 1913, she was the daughter of the late James Arthur and Delia Tifft Monroe. She was educated in the Cobblestone School in Bennington, Vt. Pansy moved to Hoosick Falls in 1931 and was employed by Millberg Undergarment Co. and Nancy Shoe Co. both of Hoosick Falls, Thompson Mill in Bennington, Reese Tool Co. of Cambridge and Barclay Home Products in Hoosick Falls until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of the North Hoosick Methodist Church and its Women’s Society. She was also a member of both the Cambridge and Hoosick Falls Seniors.

Survivors include her children William (Hazel) Harrington of Bennington, John (Janice) Harrington of Stillwater, Dawn (James) Clark of Hoosick Falls; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a nephew, John Williams of Granville. She was predeceased by a sister, Jennie Monroe Williams.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Spring internment will take place in the Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Robson-Reinfurt Funeral Home of Hoosick Falls.
