Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Patricia H. DiGangi, 81, wife of the late Joseph C. DiGangi, passed away Feb. 23, 2007, in Bennington after a long illness.

She was born June 22, 1925, in Rutland, the daughter of John W. Harrison and Florence (Roussil) Harrison. She attended Rutland schools and graduated from Mount Saint Joseph Academy, class of 1943. Patricia married Joseph C. DiGangi at Christ the King Church in Rutland on March 29, 1947. They moved to Bennington in 1958, where she resided until her death. Joseph predeceased her in 1972.

For many years Mrs. DiGangi worked for New England Telephone Company until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Bennington and belonged to the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed reading, and was an accomplished knitter.

Patricia is survived by her sons, Michael J. DiGangi and companion Judy Tucker of Ellsworth, Maine, and John E. DiGangi and wife Ina of Belle Mead, N.J. She leaves grandchildren, Jennifer Manganaro and husband Tom of Brighton, Mass., Farah Brandsness and husband Marc of San Antonio, Texas, Joseph C. DiGangi II, and Greg, Courtney, Kelsey, and Katie Parks, all of Belle Mead, N.J. She also is survived by sisters, Carole Yakunovich of Proctor, Marie Patterson of Rutland, and brothers Bill, Robert, James and Harold Harrison, all of Rutland. Her first great-grandchild, Addison Manganaro, is due to arrive in March.

Friends and family may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland. Services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church in Rutland. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patricia’s name to the Vermont Chapter of the National Alzheimer’s Association, 172 North Main St., Barre, VT 05641.
