Patricia McMahon 1945-2012 Patricia (nee: Shippey) McMa-hon, 67, of Schenectady passed away early Saturday morning at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady. Born in Bennington, Vt., on March 17, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Roberts C. and Marion J. (nee: Perrott) Shippey. She graduated from Bennington Catholic High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's degree from St. Jo-seph's College. She was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church, Schenectady and also worked at the school for a number of years. Mrs. McMahon enjoyed work-ing with the school children and her career as a clerical aide at Craig Elementary School, Niskayuna until her retirement in 2006. She looked forward to every visit to Vermont and va-cationing at the shore. Mrs. McMahon is survived by her loving husband, John, whom she married on August 17, 1968. She is also survived by her children, Matthew J. McMahon of Schenectady, N.Y., and Kirsten (Jonathan) Smith of Sprakers, N.Y.; her brother, Robert A. (Ann) Shippey of Woonsockett, R.I.; and her grandchildren whom she adored, Rhiannon, Kaia, and Calleigh McMahon. Special thanks to the nurses, aides, and housekeeping on A-6 at Ellis Hospital, also Dr. Alin and Dr. Valentine. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. at Gris-wold Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectady followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. to be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2777 Al-bany St. in Schenectady. In-terment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskay-una. The family will receive relatives and friends on Mon-day from 5 to 7 pm at the fu-neral home.
