1935 - 2013 BENNINGTON Patricia A. "Ma" Morgan, 77, wife of Allen H. Morgan, a resident of County Street, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, following a long illness.

Born in Bennington on March 1, 1935, she was the daughter of Randall F. Briggs Sr. and Lizzie (Hill) Briggs. She received her education in Bennington.

Allen and Pat were married in Bennington on Dec. 15, 1979.

In earlier years, Pat was employed at Mammoth Mart and C B Sports. She later worked at the Vermont Veterans Home for many years until the time of her retirement.

Pat especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren. She also was an avid frog collector and enjoyed reading.

Survivors include her husband, Allen H. Morgan of Bennington; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Steve Farnum of Tampa, Fla.; a son, Rodney Fisher of Bennington; eight grandchildren, Leslie, Chris, Coryn, Karli, R.J., Todd, Ian and Tyson; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Randall "Ted" and Cathy Briggs of Bennington and Harry and Nancy Briggs of Pownal; three sisters, Barbara Briggs of Bennington, and Linda and Pat of Rutland, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pat was predeceased by two sisters and a brother, Marlene Stratton, Janet Burdick and Louis Briggs.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the MAHAR & SON FUNERAL HOME Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Robin Greene officiating.Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Following the service, friends and relatives of the family are invited to the North Bennington Fire House for a time of sharing and remembrance.
