BENNINGTON -- Patricia V. Van Orman, 67, a resident of Chapel Home Park in Bennington, died Sunday evening Feb. 18, 2007, at the Centers For Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington surrounded by her family. Patricia was born in New Haverhill, N.H., on Sept. 2, 1939, the daughter of Victor and Emma (Hutchinson) Poirier. She received her education in Barre schools and attended Spaulding High School, also in Barre.

She married William A. Van Orman in Bennington at the First United Methodist Church.

Patricia was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Bennington, loved riding motorcycles and riding in her corvette. She worked at Burger King for 17 years and loved the interaction with her customers. She was a real people person and cherished times spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband William of Bennington; her son Mark Van Orman of Bennington; her daughter Mary Thibodeau of Bennington; her brother Theodore Poirier of San Antonio; her grandchildren Shawn and Holly Thibodeau, Danielle Van Orman, Lisa Burgess and Markie Jayne Van Orman; three great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Janet Carbonneau.

Funeral services for Patricia will be held Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington. Robin Green, chaplain at the Vermont Veterans Home will conduct the service. Interment will follow in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.
