HEBRON, N.Y. -- Pauline F. “Polly” Craig, 82, of Hebron passed away Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 25, 2007, at her residence with her loving family at her side. Polly was born June 24, 1925, in the home where she passed away, the daughter of the late John S. and Nellie Frances Crosier Jenkins. She was a 1942 graduate of Salem Washington Academy.

Polly, along with her husband, was a Real Estate broker for over 30 years. She enjoyed catering and making her own homemade pickles and jams. Polly was a member of the East Hebron United Presbyterian Church for over 70 years where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of its Ladies Aid Society. She was also a member of the Hebron Book Club, the East Hebron Grange and the Salem Area Women’s Club.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Archibald R. “Arch” Craig; two daughters, Deborah Craig of Greenwich and Dorothea Casey and her husband George of Greenwich; a grandson of Greenwich; several nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, Polly was also predeceased by a brother, Harold Jenkins, a sister-in-law, Patricia Craig Parmeter.

Calling hours for Polly will be held Friday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. at the McClellan Funeral Home, 19 East Broadway, Salem.

Funeral services will be held on Friday evening, Sept. 28, 2007, at 7 p.m. at the East Hebron United Presbyterian Church, 6559 State Route 22, Hebron with the Rev. Lois Ann Wolff officiating. A calling hour will be held from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Interment will take place on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the East Hebron Cemetery.
