Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline D. Maynard were held from All Faiths Chapel at the Vermont Veterans Home on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, where the Mass of Resurrection was offered by the Rev. Michael A. Demasi, chaplain.

Organist was Louise Gauthier and soloist was Monica Murray. Hymns offered during the funeral mass were “I Know That My Redeemer Lives,” “Just A Closer Walk,” “Ave Maria” and “Song of Farewell.” The pall that covered Mrs. Maynard’s casket during the service was placed by her daughters, Constance Manning and Bonnie LaCroix. A wooden cross was placed on the pall by Francis Maynard, a son. The offertory gifts were presented by two granddaughters, Holly O’Brien and Keri Winnie. Keri also offered the hymn “In the Garden” in her grandmother’s memory.

Bearers were Matthew and Timothy Maynard, George O’Brien, Derek LaCroix, Adam Stevens and Michael Jemola.

A prayer service at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home preceded the funeral mass.

Friday afternoon Father Demasi offered the Wake Service at the funeral home.

Burial took place in the family lot in park Lawn Cemetery with Father Demasi offering the committal prayers.

Following the service, a reception was held at the home of Holly and George O’Brien in Woodford.

Mrs. Maynard, widow of Ronald L. Maynard, died Jan. 25, 2006, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
