Obituary Condolences

WINHALL -- Peter Muska, 81, of Winhall, passed away July 25, 2006, in Manchester. He was born in Passaic, N.J., on July 1, 1925, the son of John and Pazia (Tokar) Muska Sr. He was a combat Medic with the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Following the war, he worked for Alan H. Dumont Television in New Jersey, where they manufactured TVs and had a working color TV in the early 1950s. While in New Jersey, Peter organized a ski club and began coming to Vermont. He eventually became a ski instructor at Snow Valley Ski School and built a house on the Old Snow Valley Road more than 40 years ago. He spent his time off-season from skiing doing various jobs in New England. He was an avid all-around sportsman and especially enjoyed football, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by a brother, John Muska of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Julia and Margaret Muska, both of Clifton, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Michael, and two sisters, Mary and Helen, predeceased him.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2006, at 9:15 a.m. at the Scottsville Cemetery in Danby. Father John Whalen will officiate.
