Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Philip J. Bruneau were held from All Faiths Chapel at the Vermont Veterans Home Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, where the liturgy of Christian death and burial was offered by the Rev. Michael A. Demasi, chaplain.

Organist was Louise Gauthier and Soloist was Monica Murray.

A prayer service at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home preceded the funeral mass.

Burial took place at the family lot in St. Columbans Cemetery in Arlington. The American flag that draped the casket of the World War II veteran was folded and presented to Mr. Bruneau’s grandson, Brandon Gallant, by Joseph Krawczyk and Ralph Elwell of VFW Post 1332 in Bennington. Taps were sounded by Maurice Rancourt.

Mr. Bruneau, a former resident of County Street, died August 25, 2004, at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
