Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Mrs. Phyllis Bugbee Morse were held at the First Congregational Church in Old Bennington on Monday afternoon, Oct. 1, 2007. Conducting the service was the Rev. Scott L. Barton, pastor, personal reflections, memories and a poem entitled “Grandmother’s Hands” were shared by granddaughter Cindy Mattison; Psalm 46 was read by granddaughter Sharon Clairmont. Music for the service was provided by organist Stephen Williams who accompanied the congregation in singing “Amazing Grace” and “The Old Rugged Cross,” soloist Cindy Mattison sang “Beyond the Sunset.” Burial followed in the Bugbee family lot in Woodford Cemetery with the Rev. Barton offering the committal prayers. Serving as bearers were Mrs. Morse’s grandsons, Larry, Kenny, Ronnie, John, George and Donald Bugbee. Phyllis McIntire Bugbee Morse, 87, a resident of Ore Bed Road in North Bennington, died peacefully Sept. 26, 2007, at her home.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington.
