Phyllis R. Livingston 1931-2012 Phyllis R. Livingston, 81, a resident of West Street in Bennington, Vt., died Monday May 21, 2012 at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington following a brief illness. She was born in Sunderland, Vermont April 1, 1931. Phyllis was the daughter of the late Harry and Ruth (Johnson) Gaudette. She received her early education in Sunderland and later graduated from Bennington High School. Phyllis married Ernest J. Livingston Sr. Mr. Livingston died in 1987. In earlier years Phyllis was employed at BenMont Paper in Bennington and for over 35 years she worked at Bijur in Bennington from which she retired. Phyllis loved to read and enjoyed jig saw puzzles. Survivors include two sons, Ernest "Chip" Livingston Jr. and his companion Barbara Richardson of Shaftsbury, Vt. and Terry Livingston of Bennington. A granddaughter Tracy Loupin of Acworth, Georgia; Three great grandchildren, Kendall, Samantha and David E. Violette all of Acworth, Georgia; two sisters Yvonne Carsno of Bennington and Janet Clayton and her husband Al of West Arlington, Vt.; two brothers Marvin Lampron and his wife Linda of Bennington, Vt., and Victor Lampron and his wife Michelle of West Arlington, Vt., two sister in laws, Nancy Livingston of Bennington and Theresa Livingston of White Creek, N.Y. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her parents, her step father Joseph Lampron, two brothers Edward and Richard Gaudette and a sister Alice Duncan. She was also pre-deceased by her brother in laws, Stanton, Bill, Francis and Roger Livingston and a sister in law Etta Perry. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Thursday May 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. The burial will follow in the family lot in Oak Hill Cemetery in Pownal, VT. Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday May 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. when the family will be in attendance. If friends desire contributions in memory of Phyllis may be made to the Vermont Veterans Home Activities Fund through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
