Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- The First Baptist Church in Bennington was filled Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 6, 2006, for the funeral service for Ralph E. Watson. The Rev. Jerrod H. Hugenot conducted the service and offered words from scripture including Psalm 23.

The congregation was invited to listen to the hymn “Amazing Grace” which was played instrumental by organist Charlotte Knighton. Soloist Carol Lecorse sang the hymn “Precious Lord Take Thy Hand.” Family friend Christie Bigart read the poem titled “Love One Another,” which Ralph’s wife Cindy provided, found among the poetry collection by their daughter Kim. Sign langauge was provided by Wenonah Buck. Following the homily and Benediction the family was escorted to Colgate Hall, where all shared a time of fellowship and refreshments. Serving as pallbearers were Art Senecal, Bob Chapman, Bob Hannah, Jude Burgess, John Rogers and Matthew Watson.

Ralph E. Watson, a lifelong resident of Bennington, died peacefully Saturday morning, Sept. 2, 2006, at his home surrounded by his family.

Arrangements were under the care of Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 West Main St.
