Ralph R. Rogers Jr. 1940 - 2009 BENNINGTON Ralph R. Rogers Jr., 69, a resident of BenMont Avenue, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Bennington March 15, 1940, he was the son of the late Ralph R. Sr. and Florence Clark Rogers. He received his education in the Bennington schools and was a 1959 graduate of Bennington Catholic High School. Ralph was employed at the BenMont Paper Company for twenty five years and later at MACE for five years until the time of his retirement. He was a life member of Elks Lodge 576 and was also a member of the Eagles Aeerie 1861 and a social member of both American Legion Post 13 and VFW Post 1332. Ralph enjoyed hunting, golfing, flower gardening and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox. He especially enjoyed time spent with the members of his family. He leaves four sisters, Patricia A. Ogilvie of Bennington, Danielle L. Cornell of Shaftsbury, Joan E. Morse of Bennington and Susan J. Bushway of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; two brothers, Robert J. Rogers of Troy, N.Y., and Donald P. Rogers of Bennington; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins. Ralph was predeceased by a sister and seven brothers, Jeanette R. Damon, William R., George A., James A., Francis H., Roy E., Thomas R. and Theodore C. Rogers. FUNERAL NOTICE: At Ralph's request private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery.
