Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Ray L. Crosier were held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Friday, Oct. 22, with the Rev. John Foster, chaplain of the Vermont Veterans Home, officiating.

Hymns offered during the service included “In The Garden” and “Amazing Grace.” A favorite musical selection of Ray’s, “Black Hawk Waltz,” was also played in his honor. Words of remembrance were given by Edwin Colvin, a brother-in-law, and by a son and daughter, Andy Crosier and Cheryl King.

Bearers were Alby King, Thom Crosier, Ric Crosier, Jay Crosier, Jamie Crosier, Michael Jones, Edwin A. Colvin and William Colvin.

Burial took place in the family lot in Grandview Cemetery with the Rev. Foster offering the committal prayers.

Mr. Crosier, a longtime resident of Route 67, Shaftsbury, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.
