Obituary Condolences

BOSTON -- Raymond D. Quackenbush, 56, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2003 at New England Medical Center in Boston following complications after a long illness. Loving members of his family and friends were by his side.

Born in Danbury, Conn. on July 7, 1947, he was the son of Richard C. and Dorothy Quackenbush of Shushan, N.Y. Raymond received a bachelor’s degree from Western Connecticut State College and a master’s degree in psychology from Northern Arizona University. He served as a school psychologist in Vermont and New York and retired from Salem Central School in 2003.

He was the beloved brother of Richard D. Quackenbush of Oregon City, Ore. He is survived by three sons, Adam, Luke and Cory.

He will be missed by those whose lives he touched.

A memorial service for Raymond will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Shushan Presbyterian Church. Relatives and friends are invited.

Those wishing to remember Raymond and his family may send contributions to Salem Central School in Salem, N.Y., to the Raymond Quackenbush Scholarship Fund.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Spencer Funeral Home, 575 Broadway, South Boston, MA.
