Raymond A. Duprea 1942-2011 BENNINGTON Raymond A. Duprea, 69 of 594 Bowen Rd. Bennington, Vt., died Tuesday October 11, 2011 at Albany Medical Center. He was born in North Adams, on May 19, 1942, son of Theodore and Beatrice (Champagne) Duprea. He attended local schools. He served in the Mass National Guard for many years retiring as a sergeant. Raymond worked for many years as a truck driver for several area companies. He was last employed as an owner/operator of his own trucking business. Raymond was a former member of the Bennington Elks Club. He's a member of the Bennington County Sheriffs Association. He is also active in the local Boy Scouts. Survivors include his wife, the former Pamela Vachon, whom he married on June 10, 1988. Two daughters; Kimberly Cravish, and her husband Peter; and Nicole Dearstyne, and her husband, Robert, all of Pittsfield. Five Grandchildren- Timothy, Alicia, Kalee, Trista, and Hayden. Two great grandchildren, four sisters- Frances Miles, Mary Robert, Eleanor Hill, and Margaret Therrien, all of Adams, Mass. He also leaves his son, Raymond Duprea II of Adams and Nieces and nephews. Two brothers are deceased including Gerald Duprea and Donald Duprea. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Raymod Duprea will be Friday October 14, 2011 at 7 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Burial will be Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in Parklawn Cemetery in Bennington, VT. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ; the Make A Wish Foundation; or the in care of the funeral home.
