PETERSBURGH, N.Y. -- Raymond L. Tilley, 47, died suddenly March 12, 2005, at his stepdaughter’s home in Gloversville while visiting her. He lived in Petersburgh with his wife, Aimee (Geiger) Tilley.

Raymond was born on May 25, 1957 in Cambridge, son of the late Frank and Theresa (Evans) Tilley. He was educated at schools in Troy and was a self-employed contractor until being disabled. He enjoyed shooting darts, bowling, hunting and riding motorcycles. He was a member of the Native American Motor Cycle Riding Club.

Survivors other than his wife Aimee and biological mother, Phyllis Hastings of Maine, include two sons, Christopher Tilley and Aaron Tilley, both of Troy; his daughter, Sarah Tilley of Troy; his stepdaughters, Jessica Hillabrandt of Gloversville and Gillian Tremble of Ft. Collins, Colo.; and four brothers, Steve Cross and Kenneth Cross, both of Bennington, Vt., Ernie Cross of Maine and C. Roger Burdick of Hoosick Falls. He is also survived by six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Raymond is predeceased by a sister, Leslie Anne Burdick.

Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St. in Hoosick Falls, on Wednesday, March 16, 2005, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Menands Animal Human Society through the funeral home.
