1937 - 2015 BENNINGTON Raymond A. Paquin, 78, a former resident of Bennington, VT died Thursday July 23, 2015 at his residence in Port Charlotte, FL following a long illness. He was born in Bennington, VT March 1, 1937. He was the son of the late Raymond A. Paquin and Alice (Gardner) Paquin. Ray received his education in Bennington and was a 1955 graduate of Bennington High School. He later graduated from Saint Michael's College in Winooski, VT. He married the former Mary Ellen Kinley on October 14, 1961 in Albany, New York. In earlier years Ray was employed at the BenMont Paper Company in Bennington. He later was employed at Dow Chemical Company and American National Can from which he retired. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Paquin of Port Charlotte, FL, their children, Raymond Paquin III and Christopher Paquin both of New Milford, CT, Jeff Paquin of Rochester, N.Y., Scott Paquin and his wife, Barbara of New Milford, CT and Melissa Paquin of Rochester, N.Y.; six grandchildren and three sisters, Patricia Surdam and her husband, Milton of Bennington, VT, Jean Maillet and her husband, Joseph of Punta Gorda, FL and Barbara French and her husband, Lewis of Montrose, CO and sister-in-law, Linda Paquin of S.Shaftsbury, VT along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, John Paquin and a sister, Nancy Paquin. SERVICES: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church in Bennington, VT. The burial will follow in the family lot at the Village Cemetery in Bennington. If friends desire contributions in memory of Raymond A.
