1954-2012 BENNINGTON Rebecca Matteson, 58, of Kent Hollow Road in West Rupert, passed away Thursday September 20, 2012 at Crescent Manor Care Center in Bennington.

Rebecca was born on February 15, 1954 in Montague, Mass., the daughter of June Goyner Patterson. She attended school in Turners Falls, Mass., graduating from Turners Falls High School. She married Claude Matteson in Turners Falls, Mass., on September 26, 1980. Mr. Matteson passed away September 25, 2012. Rebecca enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting and making quilts. She enjoyed making and shopping for crafts and made doll clothes. She loved listening to the music of Elvis Presley, dancing and cherished times spent with her family.

Rebecca is survived by her children Christopher Matteson and his wife Michelle (Andrews) of West Rupert and Tammy Matteson and her companion Michael Bice of Manchester, Vt., her sisters Cindy Saunders and her husband Dave of Charleston, N.H., Penny Surrell of Orange, Mass., and Kathryn Terrell and her husband Kenyon of South Royalton, Vt., her brother Robert Jones and his wife Judy of Altamont Springs, Fla., and Russell Jones of Plainfield, Conn., and three grandchildren Kaitlin, Lily and Heathersue.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Gary and Steve Jones.

FUNERAL NOTICE: At the request of the family, funeral services will be private. Visiting hours will be held Sunday October 7, 2012 at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, Vermont from 2 to 4 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.
