Obituary Condolences

ST. ALBANS -- Mrs. Regis L. Godin, 79, died at her home Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, following a brief illness. She was born in Woodstock July 16, 1924, daughter of the late George and Grace (Bohanon) Woodley. She was a secretary for social services in the state of Vermont offices for 19 years, retiring in 1987. She was married to Gerald B. Godin May 26, 1948. Mr. Godin died July 18, 1993.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Denise and Arthur Bombardier of Barre, Bernard and Barbara Godin of Bennington, Debra and George Stebbins of Sheldon; three granddaughters, Heather Godin, Morgan Stebbins, Lori Bombardier; five grandsons, Kevin Bombardier, Michael Godin, Nathan, Landenand Nicholas Stebbins; her brother-in-law Harry Stewart of San Diego; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Ivis Stewart and Doris Donahue.

Funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. in the Brady & Levesque Chapel.

Friends may call at the funeral home, 86 South Main St. from 12:30 p.m. until the services, Monday. Interment will be in the Godin family lot in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in masses or to the charity of one’s choice.
