Richard A. Chenail 1939-2011 WILLIAMSTOWN Longtime Berkshire County businessman Richard Arthur Chenail, 71, of 877 Simonds Rd. died May 16, 2011. He was born in Williamstown on May 17, 1939 a son of the late Arthur and Leona Denault Chenail. He attended schools in Williamstown and graduated from Williamstown High School. He was a long-standing member of the Laborer's Union Local #473. Throughout his life he operated various enterprises in the area and was the owner and proprietor of Chenail's Market in Williamstown since the 1960's. Survivors include his wife, Donna Lee Schwedner Chenail, whom he married September 16, 1978 in Williamstown, Mass.; brother Robert Chenail and his wife, Judith, of Pittsfield; children Pamela Chenail Shea and her husband, Kevin, of Pownal, Vt., David Chenail and his wife, Judith, of Williamstown, Mass., Michael Chenail and his wife, Sandy, of Palmyra, Va., Celeste Chenail DeMarsico of Readsboro, Vt., Dari Alpi Twigg and her husband, Rodney, of Wilmington, Vt., Stacey Alpi Spear and her husband, Bing, of Mechanicville, Va., Lance Alpi and his wife, Mia, of Williamstown, Mass., and Ricky Chenail and his fiancee, Ashley Morrison, of Pownal, Vt., grandchildren Shawna, Krystina, Keenan, Katherine, Liam, Connor, Parker, Jake, Luke, Marlee, River, Jack, Natalie, Danielle, Issak and Quintin; great- granddaughter Aya; nephews Michael, Mark and Matthew; and niece Michelle. He leaves many close friends and family members. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will take place Saturday May 21, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St's Patrick and Raphael Parish in Williamstown, Mass. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Calling Hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass.. Memorial Donations are suggested for the American Heart Assoc through the funeral home.
