Richard D. Ennis 1959-2011 SUNDERLAND, VT Richard D. Ennis, 52, a resident of Ondawa Road in Sunderland, passed away unexpectedly Monday December 5, 2011 at his home. Richard was born in Sunderland, Vt., on July 7, 1959 the son of Lewis "Dude" and Pauline (McClain) Ennis, Sr. He received his education in Sunderland schools and graduated from Arlington High School. Richard worked as a mechanic for Leo's Motors in Manchester, Vermont and then owned and operated Taconic Auto Repair in Sunderland. Richard loved fishing and hunting, enjoyed four-wheeling and was an avid NASCAR and Tony Stewart fan. Richard is survived by his wife, the former Donna King of Sunderland whom he married May 8, 1977 in Arlington, his parents Lewis "Dude" and Pauline Ennis, Sr., his children; Jamie McAffrey and her husband Josh of Troy, N.Y.,and Lynn Reynolds and her husband Callum of Texas, his brother John Ennis of Pawlet, Vt., his sisters; Rhonda Davis of Dorset and Audrey Robertson of Cambridge, N.Y., his grandchildren; Damien, Logan, Austin and Sierra and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister Tina. FUNERAL NOTICE: The family will receive friends Monday December 12, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home Arlington Chapel, Historic Route 7A Arlington, Vermont. Interment will be private. There is no formal funeral service.
