Richard J. Kuhn

1953-2014 BENNINGTON Richard J. Kuhn, age 61, died at his residence in Tampa, Florida on December 19th. He was born in Bennington, Vermont on January 10, 1953, the son of the late Edward J. and Constance Shea Kuhn. He was a 1971 graduate of Mt. Anthony Union High School and a 1973 graduate of Southern Vermont College. Upon graduation, he relocated to Williamsburg, Va. where he pursued a career in the hotel management field. His career saw him relocate to Media, Pa., Charlotte, N.C., Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio before returning to Williamsburg in 1996. In 2004, he was transferred to Tampa, Fla. and ended his hotel career in 2005. He was a member of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church where he was an usher and a volunteer at the church food pantry. Survivors include a sister, Ann M. Kuhn of Pittsfield, Mass. and Bennington, Vt.; one brother, Jeffrey E. Kuhn Sr. of South Hero, Vt. and his wife, Daryl and their three children, Michaela G., Jeffrey E. Jr., and Colin B. Kuhn. He is also survived by two nieces, Amy Comeau and Sara Torok; three great nieces and a sister-in-law, Jan L. Kuhn of Hyde Park, Vt. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Bernard M. Kuhn. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral mass will take place at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church on Tuesday, December 30th at 11 a,m. Private burial services will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church Food Pantry, 10110 N. Central Ave., Tampa, FL 33612 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Cremation entrusted to MacDonald Funeral Home, Tampa, Fla.
