MARSHFIELD, Mass. -- Richard L. Frisbie, Sr., 75, of Marshfield, died Nov. 10 at home.

Born in Marshfield, and life-long resident there, he graduated from Marshfield High School in 1947. He was a summer resident of West Arlington, Vt. during the past 30 years.

He was the first permanent fireman in Marshfield and served for 43 years. He served as a call-fireman previous to that. He was Town of Marshfield Plumbing and Gas inspector for 10 years. For 53 years owned and operated R.L. Frisbie and Sons School Bus Transportation.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, served during Vietnam. He was stationed in Germany and a member of the Corp of Engineers.

He was a Past Master of Cornerstone Masonic Lodge; a member of Allepo Temple Shriners; and 32nd degree Mason AF & AM.

Frisbie was the son of the late Lloyd B. Frisbie, Sr. and Marion (Flavell) Frisbie.

He is survived by his wife Constance (Johnson) Frisbie; three sons, Richard L. Jr. of Florida, Neal F. and his wife Jennifer of Marshfield, and Chester E. of Marshfield; four grandchildren, Sarah E. Orput of Carson City, Nev., Alex R. & Kristin E. Frisbie of Marshfield, Erik Frisbie of Florida; two great-grandchildren Bayleigh Rose and Chase Joseph of Carson City, Nev.; two brothers, Lloyd B. “Bud” Frisbie of Marshfield and Carlton E. Frisbie of Pembroke.

Memorial visitation is at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139, Marshfield Thursday 4 to 8 p.m.
