Robert A. "Rob" France 1963 - 2009 BENNINGTON Robert A. "Rob" France, 45, a former resident of Woodford and Bennington, Vt., and more recently of State Line Mississippi, died unexpectedly Monday, March 30, 2009 as a result of a motorcycle collision with a deer in Mississippi. He was born in Bennington, Vermont Dec. 14, 1963. He was the son of Richard France and Ellen Stewart Crawford. Rob received his education in Bennington and was a 1981 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. Following high school Rob worked for a year as a mason- tender, then decided to follow his father's footsteps and joined the United States Navy. Rob served from 1982 to 1994 attaining the rank First Class Petty Officer-Electronics Technician. After leaving the Navy, Rob worked in the Electronic Industry traveling the world installing and repairing major computer systems for major well known companies. He married the former Cynthia Anne Douglas Sept. 14, 2002 in Mississippi. Rob enjoyed playing golf and motorcycling. He owned his first motorcycle at the age of sixteen. He also enjoyed baseball and while in little league he pitched a no hitter and played in several All Star Games. Rob was a National Certified EMT, a firefighter with the State Line Volunteer Fire Department a member of the American Legion in Mississippi and the Masonic Lodge Mount Anthony # 13 F&AM in Bennington. He leaves his wife Cynthia Anne France of State Line, Mississippi. His children Megan France and fiancé Henry Couture of Allenstown, N.H., Devin France and fiancé Jim Helie of Nashua, N.H., twin sons Michael and Branden France of State Line, Miss., two stepsons Justin and Jason Young of State Line, Miss., three grandchildren, Kaleb and Kayley Couture of Allenstown, N.H., and Emily Helie of Nashua, N.H. His father and stepmother, Richard and Rayalda France of Woodford, his mother, Ellen Crawford of Manchester, N.H., his maternal grandmother, Ruby Stewart of Bennington, two aunts, Cynthia Yarnal, and husband Dean, of Bennington, and Diane Bleau, and husband Charles, of Bennington, cousins, Stevie and Mary Crawford, Amy and Aubrey Leake, Shawn and Christa Bleau, Bryon and Kelly Bleau, Kristina and Todd Brandi, Kate Bleau and Chuck, Thomas Sweet, James Sweet, Peter Sweet, Susan Taranto and Geoffrey and Melissa Crawford. He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents Albert and Elnora France and his maternal grandfather Kenneth Stewart FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the MAHAR AND SON FUNERAL HOME on Monday April 6, 2009 at 11a.m. Following the service military honors will be accorded to the United States Navy veteran. Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Sunday April 5, 2009 from 2 to 5 p.m. when the family will be in attendance. If friends desire contributions in memory of Robert A.
