Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Roberta A. Botto, 66, wife of Robert A. Botto, a resident of Barney Road, died Friday, March 12, 2004 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, N.Y. following a brief illness.

Born in New York City July 26, 1937, she was the daughter of Gerard Consiglio and the late Anna (Kaminski) Consiglio. She received her education in the both the New York City schools and in Bergin County, New Jersey.

Mr. and Mrs. Botto were married Nov. 7, 1981 in Williamstown, Mass.

Mrs. Botto was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bennington. She was a volunteer with Catamount Access Television in Bennington, was named “Woman of the Year” by the Westwood, N.J. Elks Lodge and was a member of the New Jersey Figure Skating Club in Westwood.

Survivors beside her husband of Bennington include her father, Gerard Consiglio of Saugerties, N.Y.; four daughters, Carolyn Burleson of Deltona, Fla., Lisa Carstens of Washingtonville, N.Y., Wendy Holland of Bennington and Deanna Babula of Martinez, Ga.; three sons, Steven Botto of Ridgewood, N.J., Wayne Botto of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Scott Botto of North Adams, Mass.; 12 grandchildren; two nieces and cousins.

The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Tuesday, March 15, 2004 at 10 a.m.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.

Burial will take place in the family lot at White Chapel Cemetery in Bennington.
