Roberta A. McGurn

1932-2012 BENNINGTON Mrs. Roberta McGurn, age 74, a resident of School Street in Bennington, died on Thursday morning, October 18, at the Southwestern Vermont medical Center in Bennington following a brief illness.

She was born in Bennington on January 23, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Donald and Anna (Hall) Vadakin. She received her education in local schools.

She married Edward "Ned" McGurn in Bennington in 1995. Mr. McGurn predeceased her on September 10, 2000.

Mrs. McGurn had been employed as a production worker at several companies in the area, and when she retired she was employed at MACE.

She was a member of the VFW Post #1332 Auxiliary, and the Bennington Eagles Club. Mrs. McGurn was very involved in helping with veterans causes in the area.

She enjoyed traveling to Atlantic City, and visiting the casinos. Her favorite thing was spending time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children; Virginio Perrotta III, and his wife Polly of Bennington, John Perrotta and his wife Kim of Bennington, Kimberly Perrotta and her companion Keith Boynton of Bennington, and Anthony Perotta and his wife Denise of Bennington.

She leaves her eight grandchildren: Victoria Nicole Perrotta, Virginio Nicholas Perrotta IV, Crystal Marie Perrotta, Nicholas Michael Perrotta, Justin Coon, Amanda Lynn Perrotta, Rebecca Sue Perrotta and Hannah Perrotta. Also her great grandchildren: Jaden, Emma, Alexavior. Kameron, Kyler, Tyler, and Jouzlin, as well as her companion Daisy May.

Mrs. McGurn is predeceased by one sister and one brother.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours scheduled.
