1934 - 2015 BENNINGTON Ronald W. Hall, 80, a former resident of Bennington and Wildwood, Florida, died peacefully Tuesday, April 21, at Bennington Health & Rehabilitation surrounded by his family. Born in Bennington on Dec. 14, 1934, he was the son of the late Ralph I. and Florence (Fields) Hall. Ron received his education in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. where he attended Walter Wood High School. In early years Ron worked on the family farm and at the Wood Flong Corporation in Hoosick Falls. He later was a self- employed painter and handyman in the area. Ron enjoyed his motorcycles, stock car racing and was an avid fan of NASCAR. Survivors include five children and their spouses, Ron M. and Noreen Hall of Peterburgh, N.Y., Lisa and Marcus Martinez ,and Kathy and James Hyde, all of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., Daisy and Bruce Beauchemin of Grand Isle, and Ryan Hall (Lorrie Carra) of Shaftsbury; six grandchildren, Ron Hall, Leigh Anne Parks, Jamie, Justin, and Kelsey Hyde, and Joseph Wirmusky; seven great-grandchildren; his former wife, Joyce Hall of Bennington; two very special friends, Steve and Michelle Corcoran of Hoosick Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ron was predeceased two former wives, Margo Surdam, and Marjorie Kenyon Hall; two brothers, Robert, and Roger Hall; and two nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: Memorial services will be held from the Hoosick Baptist Church in Hoosick, N.Y. on Sunday, April 26, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Dale Hall officiating. Friends may call at the church Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in the family lot at Mapletown Cemetery in Hoosick. Should friends desire memorial contributions in Ronald W. Hall's memory may be made to the Hoosick Baptist Church through the office of the MAHAR SON FUNERAL HOME, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05021.
