Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- A celebration of life for Ronald J. Dittmar was held in Bennington on July 6, 2006, from St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, where the burial office Rite 1 with Holy Eucharist was offered by the Rev. Anita Schell-Lambert, rector.

Crucifer and chalicist was Emily Kennedy, and organist was Louise Gauthier. Mr. Dittmar’s wife, Bunny, offered the Hymn “Amazing Grace.” Other hymns offered were “Praise to the Lord” and “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee.”

The readings were offered by Carla Bellemare and Mr. Dittmar’s children, Shelly and Ron Dittmar. The eulogy was offered by Dave Demarest, a longtime friend. The gifts were brought to the altar by Dick and Dot Pusz, cousins of Ron.

Following the services, a reception was held at Carmody’s Restaurant. Ron and T.J. Carmody were partners at Sharkeys Tropical Grill in Stuart, Fla., in the early 1990s.

Mr. Dittmar, a resident of Stuart, died June 29, 2006, at the Hospice Care Center there.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
