Rose Marie Jennings 1931-2012 CAMBRIDGE Rose Marie Jennings, 80, of Turnpike Road, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 19, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. She was the beloved wife of Stanley L. Jennings. A native of Cambridge, Rose was born Monday, July 27, 1931 at the family home on Turnpike Road. She was one of the six children of Duane and Rosemarie Parker Granger. She attended Cambridge schools. Rose was an accomplished seamstress and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She worked at Reis Mills in Cambridge until they closed, then at Barclay Manufacturing in Hoosick Falls and finally retired from J & J Lingerie in Cambridge. On April 15, 1961, Rose and Stanley were married. Through the years, the family made many trips to Maine where Rose enjoyed the beach and the sun. She also enjoyed gardening and in recent years, going to her granddaughter, Makayla's sporting events. A grandson, David Clairmont, and four siblings predecease her. Along with her husband of fifty years, she is survived by two daughters, Sandra Marie Clairmont and Heather Lee Farrara and husband Anthony, all of Shaftsbury, Vt.; a sister, Irene Wooddell of Cambridge; two granddaughters, Erica Eckrote and Makayla Farrars; two great-grandchildren Alexandera Chamberlain and Patterson Eckrote and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. FUNERAL NOTICE: Friends and relatives are invited to call on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ackley & Ross Funeral Home, 73 West Main Street, Cambridge, NY. Rev. Maggie Moore of the Embury United Methodist Church, where Rose was a member, will conduct a funeral service beginning at 6 p.m. At Rose's request she will be cremated and her ashes scattered at chosen places by her family The family suggests memorial donations be made to Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad, P.
