1929 - 2015 BENNINGTON Rose Marie "Rosemary" Ford, 85, a resident of Crescent Blvd died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 at her residence following a long illness. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Dec. 10, 1929. She was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Forte) Townsend. She received her education in Brooklyn and was a graduate of James Madison High School, Rosemary married Duane E. Ford on April 26, 1958 at Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Brooklyn. In earlier years Rosemary was employed as a Reservation Agent for Eastern Airlines. She was a member of Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. She taught religious education and volunteered at both the Bennington Museum and Southwestern VT Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, Duane E. Ford of Bennington; her children, Keith Ford and his wife, Valerie of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Mary Ford-Clarke of Valley Stream, N.Y., Evan Ford, Conan Ford and his wife, Rosa Maria and Melanie Ford all of Bennington; seven grandchildren, Erin Clarke, Juan, Victoria and Conan Ford Jr., John, Liam and Andrew Ford; a sister, Patricia Stubbs and her husband, Kendon; a sister-in-law Edwina Townsend and many nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 8, at 10:30 a.m. with a prayer and then from Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church at 11 a.m. where the Liturgy of Christian Death will be offered.
