Obituary Condolences

POWNAL -- Ruth Alice White, 92, a resident of Green Mountain Park in Pownal, died Monday morning, March 28, 2005, at her home.

She was born in Danbury, Conn. on Nov. 18, 1912, the daughter of Edward and Edna (Snell) VonRohr, and attended local schools.

Ruth loved her home and tried to help people find answers to certain problems of their lives through counseling with tarot cards. She was very in tune with astrology and metaphysics. She loved plants and flowers and tinkering on her front porch with potted plants. Ruth is survived by her son, Edward White and his wife Kathy of Danbury; her daughter, Frances Saunders and her husband Irv of Danbury; her grandchildren, Shirley Martin, James Ruiz, Shelly Scrivens, Michael Saunders, Patty Saunders, Coleen White, Shannon White, Erin Figueroa and Elyse White; her caregiver for many years and special great-granddaughter, Sunshine Sauer and her husband Stephen; several great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ezekiel White, who died in 1972, and her daughter, Ruth Roraback, who died May 20, 2004.
