Ruth E. Galusha 1926-2012 BENNINGTON, VT Ruth E. Galusha, 85, a resident of East Road in Bennington, passed away unexpectedly at the home of her daughter in Shaftsbury, Vermont., on Monday January 30, 2012. Ruth was born in Bennington on June 9, 1926, the daughter of Dewey and Alice Magoon Bronson. She received her education in Bennington schools, graduating from Bennington High School and the St. Luke's School of Nursing in Pittsfield, Mass. Ruth worked as a registered nurse for a short time before raising her five children and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a real kid at heart. Ruth continued care giving for many years providing immunizations to people and helping them with their health. Ruth enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, feeding birds and loved the card game Skip-BO. She loved singing and did so as a soloist in church. Ruth enjoyed camping, especially at a cottage on the lake. She was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church in Bennington, where she was extremely involved and active. Ruth is survived by her husband of almost 65 years Warren Galusha whom she married on October 12, 1947 in Shaftsbury, her children; Daniel Galusha and his wife Elissa of Bremerton, Wash., David Galusha and his wife Janette of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., Ken Galusha and his wife Michelle of North Pownal, Cynthia Jacobs and her husband Christopher of Shaftsbury and Deborah Sargent and her husband Bill of Rutland, Vt., her brother Edward Bronson and his wife Phyllis of Shaftsbury, her sister Joyce Millington and her husband John of Denver, Colo., her sister-in-law Charlotte Galusha of Shaftsbury, her grandchildren Jennifer, Matthew, Stephanie, Tiffany, Amanda, Jared, Danielle and Joshua and nieces, nephews and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: A celebration of the life of Ruth E. Galusha will be held February 16, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Missionary Alliance Church in Bennington. There are no visiting hours.
