Ruth Marie Potter 1924 - 2008 HOOSICK FALLS Ruth Marie Potter 84, died Tuesday Nov. 4, at the Hoosick Falls Health Center where she had resided since April of 2007. Ruth was the wife of the late Harold Potter and formerly resided on River Street in Hoosick Falls. Ruth was born on Jan. 29, 1924, in Hoosick Falls daughter of Ernest and Nora O'Neil Le Barron. She was educated at schools in Potter Hill. Ruth worked at Oak Industries in Hoosick Falls until retiring. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a life time member of the Eagles Arie # 2467, both in Hoosick Falls. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves her daughters, Colleen Stratton, and husband, Tim of Hoosick Falls, Linda Pollard and husband, Robert "Bud" of Portland, Ore., Anna Church of Averill Park, N.Y., and Jean Smith on New Port Richie, Fla., a sister Anna Ward of Troy, N.Y., a brother Leverette Le Barron of Potter Hill, N.Y., 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ruth is predeceased by two daughters, Jane Marie and Cynthia, three sisters Lucy Williams, Minnie Luskin, Ethel Brownell, two brothers Raymond and Clayton Le Barron. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be Friday Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. from the MAHAR FUNERAL HOME, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hoosick Falls health Center through the funeral home.
