Sally M. Gabert 1938-2010 SUNDERLAND, VT Sally M. Gabert, 72, of Sunderland, Vt., passed away August 22, 2010 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. Sally was born in Manchester, Vt. on May 18, 1938, the daughter of Carl and Dora Brace Bovey. She was married to Howard Gabert. Her first husband, Robert Hale, predeceased her. Sally worked for many years at the Weston Bowl Mill in Weston from which she retired. She enjoyed bingo, camping and going to tag sales, but her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Howard, of Sunderland; her sons, John Hale and Kevin Hale, both of Sunderland, Wilbur Hale and his wife, Lisa, and George Hale, all of Arlington, Vt.; her daughters, Debbie and her husband, Chris Drown, of Sunderland, Dee and her husband, Chris Daly, of Rutland, Vt., Cindy Ahonen of Belmont, Vt., Robin Hale of Whitehall, N.Y. and Barbara Sheldon of Proctorsville, Vt.; a sister; Dorothy Kent, of Danby, Vt.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her first husband she was predeceased by a son, Robert Hale; a brother, Donald Bovey; and her sister, Mary DeCell. FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Weston at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the BREWSTER FUNERAL HOME, 34 Park Place, Manchester, Vt. on Wednesday August 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.
