BENNINGTON -- Mrs. Sandra Reynolds McNiff, 50, wife of James McNiff, a former resident of Bennington, died May 18, 2003 in Boise, Idaho following a brief illness.

Born in Bennington March 31, 1953, she was the daughter of David Brookman, who survives, and the late Lucille (Pellerin) Reynolds Brookman. She received her education in Bennington and was a 1971 graduate of Mt. Anthony Union High School.

Mr. and Mrs. McNiff were married in Tucson, Ariz. in 1987.

While living in Bennington she was employed at Price Chopper. She later was employed in the office of Sterner and Kline in Boise.

Also while in Boise she obtained a real estate license which was a career she wanted to pursue after raising her son.

Mrs. McNiff was an avid New York Yankee baseball fan. She will be remembered as a very devoted wife and mother. Besides leaving her family, whom she loved dearly, she leaves many close friends that she made in Bennington, Tucson and Boise.

Survivors include her husband, James McNiff of Boise, Idaho; a son, James T. McNiff of Boise; her father and step mother, David and Hughette Brookman of Middlebury; a sister, Bonnie Hurley of Bennington; two brothers, Jeffrey Brookman and David Brookman both of Boise; a sister-in-law, Mary Reynolds of Syracuse, N.Y.; nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. McNiff was predeceased by a brother, Christopher Reynolds.

Graveside committal services will be held Friday, May 30, 2003 at 10:30 a. m. at Park Lawn Cemetery.
