Sara Taft Obituary
Sara Anne Taft "Sally"

1949-2012 Sara "Sally" Anne Taft, age 62, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012.

Sally was born in Peru, Vt., on October 10, 1949, and was the daughter of Ida (Wilkins) and Arthur Beauregard.

Sally grew up in Peru and Mt. Tabor, Vt., where she attended Burr and Burton Seminary, class of '67. She was a long-time employee of Kearly Fuel in Jamaica, Vermont. She was married to her first and only love, Harvey L. Taft for 45 years. A passionate photographer, she chronicled all family events as well as the beauty she found in nature. She placed a great value on family. Sally loved life, adventures, and celebrations; she was always ready for a good time. She was a doer by nature, determined to roll up her sleeves and puzzle something out, no matter how difficult.

Sally was predeceased by her father Arthur.

She is survived by her husband Harvey of Jamaica, her mother Ida, her son H. Geoffrey Taft and his wife Angela, her daughter Michelle Darrow and husband Heikki, grandchildren Ashley, Trey, and Kianna Darrow, her sister Debbie Waibel, her brother William Beauregard, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, great nephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends will be invited to a service to be followed by a celebration of her life later this fall; details will be announced upon determination.
