Scot Alan Morrison 1971 - 2008 BENNINGTON Scot Alan Morrison, 37, of Peachstone Lane, Orlando, Fla., died Thursday, March 13, 2008, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Bennington on Feb. 25, 1971, son of Gisela Gebauer Morrison and the late Alan H. Morrison, a well-known automobile dealer in this area and many areas in Florida, he attended Monument Elementary School through sixth grade and graduated from the Pine Cobble School in Williamstown, Mass. Scot then attended the Williston-Northampton School and graduated. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Redlands in Redlands, Calif., with a major in journalism. Scot used his journalistic skills at the Bennington Banner and Key West Citizen Newspapers. For several years he worked in marketing at VSAA, Vermont Ski Area Association, in Montpelier and later at Magic Mountain. While living in Orlando, he was a manager for Barnes and Noble. He also established his own on- line business in Pop-Culture memorabilia. Most recently he worked in a similar business at the Comic Connection Store in Orlando. Besides his mother, Scot leaves his step mother, Alenda C. Morrison; three siblings, Cindy A. Morrison of Florida, Allison C. MacKenzie of Vermont, and Charles Morrison of South Carolina; two nieces, Alexandra and Isabella, and a nephew, Lucas. Scot was pre-deceased by a brother, Gareth A. Morrison, and by his father. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at 10:30 a,m. Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the MAHAR & SON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday from 9 until the time of the service. If friends desire, contributions in memory of Scot Alan Morrison may be made to the Bennington Rescue Squad through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201
