Sheila M. Rayner 1965-2008 SHAFTSBURY, VT. - Sheila Marie Rayner passed away on Feb. 9, 2008 at home, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born March 28, 1965 in Cambridge, N.Y. Sheila grew up in Hoosick Falls, where she graduated from Hoosick Falls Central School. She was the loving and caring mother of Bret (Kristina), and of Jessica and Brian Davis with her life partner, Chris Davis. She is also survived by her father and step-mother, Charles and Patricia Rayner, her siblings Jackie (Tom) Sullivan, Chris Rayner and his significant other, Victoria McCart, Robin (Jamie) Mulligan, Terry (Chuck) Yavaniski, a sister-in-law, Carol Rayner, and step-siblings, Ivan (Wanda) Matte, Joan Carr and Joan Matte. She is also survived by three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Sheila was pre-deceased by her mother, Audrey Rayner. Sheila was passionate and generous in all her life endeavors. In earlier years, she waitressed at Friendly's, then the Public House and most recently at Kevin's Restaurant and Sports Pub. She also worked at Merchants Bank for a short time, before taking a position as a Para Educator at Shaftsbury Elementary School. Although Sheila's main love in life was her family, she treasured her relationships with customers, students and co-workers. She also enjoyed her pets, reading, traveling and spending time outdoors. FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral will be held from the MAHAR and SON FUNERAL HOME in Bennington on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at 11. Friends may call at the funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. when the family will be in attendance. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Sheila Marie Rayner may be made in Trust for Jessica and Brian's education to Chris Davis through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.]]>
