Shirley Ann (Morin) Hall 1943-2011 BENNINGTON Mrs. Shirley Ann Hall, 68, of Clinton, N.Y. passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 13, 2011 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford, N.Y. Shirley was born in Bennington, Vt. on March 19, 1943, the daughter of Joseph and Ardella Herrick Morin. She was raised in Shaftsbury and educated Shartsbury and North Bennington and later earned her nursing degree from Mohawk Valley Community College. On May 14, 1960, Shirley married Kenneth "Skip" Hall in Bennington, Vt, a devoted union of 42 years until Kenneth's death in 2002. She was employed as an RN supervisor with the St. Luke's Home in New Hartford, N.Y. Shirley enjoyed traveling and shopping, always searching for another treasure to add to her many collections. She was an exceptionally giving and caring woman whose natural desire to help others showed in her care for per patients and her love of her family. Mrs. Hall will be sadly missed by her beloved children; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tamie Mason of North Utica, N.Y. and June and Chris Holmer of South Utica; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth Jr. and Shelly Hall of Floyd, N.Y. and Todd Hall of North Utica; her mother, Ardella Morin, of North Bennington; 10 cherished grandchildren, John Mason, Michael Mason, Mark Bostwick III, Jennifer Bostwick, Jamie Hall, Joey Hall, Josh Hall, Junito Bermudez, Krystal Mutton and her husband, Sean, and Kara Hall; eight adored great-grandchidlren, Serena Marie, Markie, Haylee, Cameron, Jayleana, Jadan, Zaden and Zevin; one sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and William (Bill) Mahlmann of Dorset, Vt.; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard (Dick) and Bonnie Morin of Balston Spa, N.Y. and Frank and Carol Morin of Bennington, Vt.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mrs. Hall's funeral was held on Monday, May 16, 2011 at the Heintz Funeral Home in Utica. Mass and Christian burial was celebrated at Historic Old St. John's Church in Utica. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In Shirley's memory please consider making a donation to help support the U.S. military troops home and overseas. Mrs. Hall's family is grateful to the doctors and nurses in the ER at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital for the exceptional efforts, care and compassion that was provided to Shirley and her family.
